Four Seasons Hotel Miami has introduced the custom electric Moke vehicle, offering eco-friendly transportation for its guests to explore Miami in style.

In a move aimed at enhancing guest experiences while helping them reduce their carbon footprint, the Four Seasons Hotel Miami has partnered with Moke International to offer a custom electric Moke vehicle as an exclusive amenity for its visitors. This innovative collaboration is set to elevate the luxury travel experience, providing an eco-friendly transportation option for guests.

The electric Moke, a U.K.-built car, is known for its emphasis on sustainability and functionality. It boasts a top speed of 50 miles per hour and a range of 45 to 80 miles, making it a practical choice for exploring Miami. The Moke can be rented by hotel guests for four-hour excursions or included as part of a suite package.

Moke International’s partnership with Four Seasons is available at all South Florida locations, including Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at The Surf Club, Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale, and Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach.

The Moke has a rich history dating back to the 1960s when it was favored by pop culture icons like The Beatles and The Beach Boys. In 2022, it was reimagined as an electric vehicle, maintaining its classic appeal while embracing modern sustainability trends. The Four Seasons Hotel Miami is not the only property to feature this unique amenity; the partnership with Moke International extends to other Four Seasons locations in South Florida, including Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach and Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale.

Sustainability initiatives at Four Seasons

Operating 124 properties in 47 countries, Four Seasons has been increasing its commitment to sustainability and luxury across its locations. The hotel group, owned primarily by Bill Gates through Cascade Investment and Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal through Kingdom Holding Company, has been at the forefront of luxury hospitality since its inception.

As part of its sustainability efforts, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts implements various eco-friendly practices across its properties. These include energy-efficient building designs, waste reduction programs, and the use of locally sourced materials and products. The hotel chain utilizes state-of-the-art energy management systems to monitor and reduce energy consumption. LED lighting and motion sensors help ensure that lights are only on when needed.

According to the Four Seasons, the kitchens are dedicated to sourcing locally and sustainably produced goods. The hotel’s restaurants prioritize ingredients that support regional farmers and reduce the carbon footprint associated with transporting food over long distances. This approach not only ensures fresh and high-quality dining experiences for guests but also fosters a sustainable food ecosystem. Water conservation is another key focus for the Four Seasons. The hotel employs low-flow fixtures in guest rooms and public areas to reduce water usage. Landscaping is designed with drought-resistant plants, which require less water and are better suited to the local climate. These measures contribute to significant reductions in water consumption, aligning with the hotel’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Waste management practices at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami are also specifically noteworthy. The hotel has a comprehensive recycling program that includes the separation and proper disposal of paper, plastic, glass, and metal. Organic waste from kitchens and dining areas is composted, reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills. The hotel also partners with local organizations to donate excess food to those in need, furthering its commitment to social responsibility.
