Pamela Anderson Launches Pamela’s Pickles, Supporting California Wildlife Center

Pamela Anderson launches Pamela’s Pickles, a philanthropic nod to her family’s recipe, while her homemade sourdough for Liam Neeson hints at a romance as fresh as her garden harvest.

Pamela Anderson has launched Pamela’s Pickles, an artisanal pickle offering that draws on her family’s culinary heritage and her own botanical creativity. Every penny of profit from this venture will benefit the California Wildlife Center, a nonprofit devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing native wildlife.

The pickles, which retail for $35 a jar, are rooted in a dill, mustard, and garlic recipe crafted by Anderson’s great‑aunt Vie, who earned recognition for her preserves on Vancouver Island. Anderson brings her own modern twist by incorporating rose petals. The final concoction is further elevated with the infusion of pink peppercorn, guajillo chile, and smoky sea salt, yielding what is described as “a garden in a jar, bursting with a cool crunch that carries endless herb, smoke, and spice.”

This culinary endeavor continues Anderson’s transformation from a Hollywood icon to a curator of plant‑based cuisine and produce-centered living. While appearing on the British daytime show This Morning, earlier this year, she celebrated her heritage: “I’m a pickler! I come from a long line of picklers.” Reflecting on her family’s legacy, she explained, “My great auntie Vie, she won all the pickle and mustard awards on Vancouver Island. It’s a serious thing in my family.”

Anderson says Vie was “bedazzled from head to toe and danced in the kitchen in high heels while spiking your coffee with Kahlua.” She also wrote a book, From Pickles to Pearls. “This is legit!” Anderson said.

Anderson puts a spin on the family recipe. “I put dried roses in my pickles,” adding there’s a friendly family competition: “We’re all trying to outdo each other.” When gifted a jar labeled “Pammy’s Pickles,” she declared, “I am doing something possibly called Pamela’s Pickles.” Clarifying her intentions, she added, “It’s not a show but just one episode of something,” and later said with energy, “I’m going to sell pickles! I do pickles in my spare time. You gotta do a bit of everything these days, you know?”

Pamela’s Pickles builds on the momentum of her acclaimed 2024 plant‑based cookbook I Love You: Recipes From the Heart, which evolved from a collection of family dishes for her two sons into a lifestyle anthology celebrating her garden and traditions. The book features a variation on her great‑aunt’s dill pickles accented with rose petals, and showcases her Vancouver Island garden, where vegetables and roses flourish for her recipes.

At 58, Anderson has continued to reframe her public persona. After a Broadway debut in Chicago in 2022 and her memoir Love, Pamela alongside the Netflix documentary Pamela, a Love Story in 2023, she starred in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl, earning Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations. She hosts the plant‑based cooking series Pamela’s Cooking With Love on Flavor Network, filmed at her rural Vancouver Island home.

Long before her culinary projects, Anderson’s advocacy for plant‑based eating and animal welfare was deeply personal. The former Baywatch star went vegetarian after witnessing her father’s hunting trophy, and her convictions have guided her lifelong commitment. She supports animal‑rights organizations, has campaigned against foie gras and fur for the animal rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment for Animals).

This pickle launch taps into a growing consumer appetite for artisanal culinary ventures with ethical motivations. Anderson describes pickling as a return to her roots, especially meaningful during the pandemic, when reconnecting with gardening and preserving reawakened her sense of identity. She spoke movingly of “stripping away this caricature that I created” and finding her authentic self through cooking and gardening.

Anderson’s kitchen generosity extends beyond the Vancouver Island garden; on set, she baked sourdough loaves, bran muffins, and cookies for her Naked Gun co-star, and new love interest, actor Liam Neeson. The two are reportedly in the early stages of a sincere, budding romance. A source shared that “they’re enjoying each other’s company” and that “it’s clear they’re smitten with each other,” as the pair promote their film.

Neeson described Anderson as “gorgeous” with a delightful sense of humor and “humanity,” recalling an immediate ease when they met on set. On the Today show, they playfully pretended to be caught kissing, while at the New York premiere they attended together with their sons — a gesture that fueled further speculation.
