Pangaia has opened its first U.K. store on Carnaby Street, emphasizing sustainability and innovation.
Purpose-driven apparel brand Pangaia has unveiled its inaugural standalone U.K. store in the heart of London on Carnaby Street, offering a tranquil retreat from the city’s bustling energy. Opening today, the store aims to provide an immersive nature experience, utilizing circular practices and eco-friendly materials to minimize environmental impact.
Pangaia, founded by influencer Miroslava Duma, became a prominent name several years ago due to its vibrant sweatshirts and the pandemic’s impact on fashion. Following the pandemic, Pangaia saw a significant decline, closing 2022 with a $50.4 million loss and a 42 percent drop in sales to $37.1 million, a sharp fall from its 2020 peak of $76 million. While initially successful with eco-friendly leisurewear, Pangaia struggled as consumers shifted to vintage, designer, and new style trends post-pandemic.
