Luxury hospitality is evolving across Europe, with standout projects arriving in Italy and Greece courtesy of Six Senses and Four Seasons.

Six Senses and Four Seasons have unveiled new properties that blend immersive wellness, history, and luxury. These developments reflect the growing emphasis on localized luxury that merges cultural heritage, sustainable practices, and wellness experiences.

Both Six Senses and Four Seasons are responding to an evolving market where travelers seek not only comfort but also meaningful engagement with their surroundings. From the creative pulse of Milan to the tranquil beauty of Lake Como and the vibrant coastlines of Mykonos, these new properties promise guests unforgettable stays in some of Europe’s most sought-after destinations.

In Italy, Six Senses is further deepening its footprint with two new ventures — Six Senses Milan and Six Senses Lake Como. These properties follow the brand’s successful launch in Rome last year and reflect a strategic partnership with Gruppo Statuto, a powerhouse in Italian real estate. Six Senses Milan anchors itself in the vibrant Brera district, embracing the neighborhood’s reputation for artistry and cultural allure. Positioned at Via Brera 19, the hotel delivers on its promise of wellness-forward hospitality within one of Europe’s fashion capitals. Meanwhile, Six Senses Lake Como redefines luxury on the renowned lakeside, where guests will encounter lush gardens and a storied setting that has attracted royalty and luminaries over centuries. The property is conveniently located just 90 minutes from Milan, offering a serene escape.

Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses, emphasized the brand’s connection to Italy’s cultural essence. “Italy moves you like nowhere else. Six Senses Milan and Six Senses Lake Como both speak to our purpose — offering hospitality that intertwines art, culture, and wellness in iconic destinations,” he said in a statement.

Gruppo Statuto’s involvement has solidified its reputation as a leader in high-end hospitality, with Six Senses properties now spanning Ibiza, Rome, London, and these two new Italian locations. As a benchmark in the industry, the group’s strategic alignment with Six Senses exemplifies the growing trend of combining wellness with cultural authenticity in travel experiences.

On the shores of Kalo Livadi Bay in Greece, Four Seasons is preparing to open its latest resort, Four Seasons Resort Mykonos, in summer 2025. This beachside escape will feature 94 rooms, villas, and suites, all offering sweeping views of the Aegean Sea. The property spans more than 60,000 square meters, seamlessly integrating from the sandy coastline to the rocky cliffs, embodying the Cycladic architecture synonymous with Mykonos. Whitewashed courtyards, winding pathways, and intimate piazzas capture the charm of the island while complementing the surrounding environment with sustainable design.

“Expanding our presence in Greece has been a key focus for us for many years, and we have continued to search for the right opportunities to grow in this important market,” Bart Carnahan, President of Global Business Development for Four Seasons, said in a statement. Following the success of its partnership with AGC Equity Partners on the Four Seasons award-winning hotel in Athens, Carnahan says the chain knew that this new resort in Mykonos would be the perfect addition to its portfolio.

The design for Four Seasons Resort Mykonos draws from the vision of acclaimed Greek architect Nicos Valsamakis, with interiors by Wimberly Interiors. Guests can indulge in a variety of curated dining experiences developed by the Rockwell Group, including a poolside Italian eatery, a modern take on a Mykonian kafeneio, and a beachside concept that celebrates the area’s natural beauty. Additional amenities include an infinity pool overlooking the Aegean, a full-service spa, and numerous indoor and outdoor spaces ideal for events. Recreational activities such as boating adventures and water sports will round out the experience for those seeking adventure.

Walid Abu-Suud, CEO of AGC Equity Partners, expressed confidence in the future of Greece’s tourism sector. “Our decision to expand our investment portfolio in Greece and develop another landmark destination in Mykonos constitutes evidence of our increased confidence in, and commitment to, the country’s growth in high-end tourism,” he said. “We have no doubt that this new Resort will become a destination in its own right for international and local tourism. We look forward to collaborating with Four Seasons in Greece once again.”

The new resort will operate under the leadership of General Manager Ryan Grande, whose extensive experience spans properties in Jackson Hole, Seattle, Vancouver, and Costa Rica. “To lead the opening team of this highly anticipated project is an honour,” said Grande. “I’ve experienced many properties, cultures and destinations throughout my Four Seasons tenure, and being a part of this expansion in Greece will undoubtedly be a career highlight. I look forward to opening our doors in Mykonos very soon.”
