Prep Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1.2 liters water
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Orange and Passion Fruit

  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 2 passionfruits, seeds and pulp removed
  • 4 sprigs basil

Lemon and Lime

  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 6 sprigs of mint

Apple and Raspberry

  • 2 apples, sliced into quarters
  • ½ cup raspberries, halved

Watermelon and Mint

  • 2 cups watermelon, deseeded and cut into square cubes
  • 6 sprigs of mint

Forest Fruits

  • ½ cup strawberries, halved
  • ½ cup raspberries, halved
  • ½ cup blackberries, halved

Instructions

  • Use frozen fruits to make your infused water extra cold and refreshing in the summer.
  • To get the most flavour in your water, let your fruits infuse for at least 3 hours in advance. The flavours will have more time to infuse into the water if you let it sit for a longer period of time. If you prefer a strong flavour, allow the fruits to infuse in the water overnight before drinking.
  • You can eat the fruit after infusing water. However, just be aware that since the fruit is releasing flavour into the water, it will have less flavour and more water in it.
  • If you don’t want to wait for fruity-flavoured water, you can purchase ready-chilled fruit-infused waters online or at your local supermarket. However flavoured waters can have a surprisingly high amount of sugar, so be sure to check the label and choose a sugar free option.
  • Fresh infused water can be stored covered in the refrigerator for about six days.
