TAG Heuer Brings Sustainability to Its Collection for Formula 1 Fans

Share

The TAG Heuer collection for Formula 1 fans highlights the brand’s combination of innovation, technology, and sustainability, demonstrating that luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand.

Known for its luxurious and highly-accurate chronographs, TAG Heuer isn’t just one of the most recognizable names in the watchmaking industry, it is also a brand that has become synonymous with motorsport fans. This connection can be attributed to the TAG Heuer Formula 1 and TAG Heuer Monaco series.

The first F1 models made an appearance in the late ’80s, boasting bright colors and a simple design, and the collection was widely coveted from the outset. The TAG Heuer Formula 1 range is defined by its reasonable pricing and ability to encapsulate the thrill of motorsport. To this day, these principles have not been lost.

With a rich heritage of watchmaking excellence, the brand has embraced sustainability as a core value, striving to create timepieces that not only embody precision and craftsmanship but also reflect a commitment to responsible business practices.

One of TAG Heuer’s key sustainability commitments is its focus on responsible sourcing of materials. The brand is dedicated to ensuring that the raw materials used in its watches, such as gold and steel, are ethically and sustainably sourced. TAG Heuer actively seeks to minimize the environmental and social impacts associated with mining and production processes. By partnering with suppliers who adhere to strict environmental and ethical standards, the brand aims to support sustainable practices throughout its supply chain.

In addition to responsible sourcing, TAG Heuer places a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. The company continuously strives to optimize its manufacturing processes to minimize energy consumption and waste generation. By implementing energy-efficient technologies and adopting sustainable practices, TAG Heuer says it has successfully reduced its carbon footprint and made significant progress toward its environmental goals.

Waste reduction

TAG Heuer is committed to promoting circular economy principles. TAG Heuer has implemented initiatives to extend the lifespan of its products and reduce waste. One notable example is the TAG Heuer Connected Watch Trade-In program, which allows customers to trade in their old TAG Heuer Connected timepieces for credit towards the purchase of a new one. This program encourages the reuse and recycling of materials, reducing the need for new resource extraction and minimizing waste sent to landfills.

Philanthropic projects

TAG Heuer’s sustainability efforts extend beyond its products and manufacturing processes. The brand actively engages in philanthropic initiatives and partnerships aimed at supporting environmental conservation and social causes. For instance, TAG Heuer has collaborated with organizations such as Green Cross International to contribute to global sustainability efforts.

The newest addition to the Formula 1 collection, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph x Gulf is just as luxurious as it is sporty. The orange and blue stripes on the watch face represent the famous colors of the Gulf Oil logo — a brand well-known in the motorsport industry.

Configured in the classic F1 chronograph, the victory colors are accompanied by a 43mm stainless steel case and blue aluminum tachymeter bezel. On the back, you’ll find the Gulf logo adorned in great detail.

The three-row steel bracelet of the watch includes a folding clasp with a double safety system and driver’s extension. This means it’s possible to wear the watch over the top of a racing suit.

The passion for motorsport is striking in this energetic timepiece, specifically designed for those living in the fast lane. Flawlessly positioned on the black tachymeter fixed bezel, the Indy 500 logo stands out, with the case back revealing a secret engraving.

An honor to wear on the wrist, the asphalt-esque dial is reminiscent of the legendary Indy 500 brickyard, presented alongside an elegant gold and black storage box.

Victory is guaranteed with this bold, action-packed timepiece dedicated to two legendary brands. The dynamic challenger is fitted with a unique blue rubber strap and iconic TAG Heuer-adorned pin buckle.

Unlike other models, the engraving on the case back pays homage to the partnership between Red Bull Racing and TAG Heuer. Included with this is an exclusive travel pouch to keep the timepiece safe when on the go.

Dedicated to racing legend Ayrton Senna, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Senna perfectly captures the master of speed’s original red watch color, with additional features being seen in anthracite and black. The 44mm Calibre 16 automatic chronograph is stronger than ever and the design is a vibrant tribute to the motorsport star.

The highly shock-resistant bracelet is inspired by the S/EL bracelet of the first TAG Heuer watch worn by Senna, and on the back of the case, you’ll find an engraving dedicated to him.
