Billie Eilish and Gucci Partner On Upcycled ‘Happier Than Ever’ Vinyl

Made from upcycled plastic scraps that came from the first run of Billie Eilish’s second full-length album Happier Than Ever, Gucci and the singer have teamed up on a one-of-a-kind collectors edition.

The limited-edition multi-colored disc comes in a box covered in a psychedelic pattern that also features custom Gucci nail-art stickers.

“So excited to share my limited edition ‘Happier Than Ever’ vinyl and @gucci nail stickers featuring an exclusive box designed by @alessandro_michele ???? the vinyl is made from recycled vinyl scraps from all the colors of the original pressing of the record and each piece is completely unique,” the singer wrote in an Instagram post.

In a social media post shared by Gucci, the Italian luxury house said the nail stickers “celebrate house emblems through the GG monogram and lettering in multiple shades and styles.”

Eilish, 19, famously collaborated with Gucci in 2020, when she wore a lime-green Gucci ensemble to the Grammy Awards.

The partnership builds on Gucci’s longstanding sustainability commitments, which include its Off the Grid collection. It also builds on Eilish’s sustainable and ethical commitments, which earned her PETA’s 2021 Person of the Year title last week.

The animal rights organization said the singer nabbed the title for “championing animal rights, never staying silent about injustice, and using her influence to push the fashion industry to recognize that cruelty is never in style.”

Eilish is the youngest recipient of the organization’s award.

“Billie Eilish is making sure that the party’s over for meaty, milky meals as well as for leather, fur, and silk,” PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement. “PETA is happier than ever to celebrate her for seizing every opportunity to point out that vegan fashion and foods are kinder to the animals and the planet we share with them.”

At the Met Gala in September, Eilish made history wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress as part of a deal that the brand pull all fur from its collections. She also stunned the event wearing the most Cartier pieces in the gala’s history.
