Espresso Martinis Get a Sustainable, Neal Patrick Harris Makeover

Share

Actor, producer, and known cocktail aficionado, Neil Patrick Harris, has teamed up with Thomas Ashbourne Craft Spirits, a leading woman-owned and operated sustainable craft cocktail company, to introduce a new cocktail, “The After Hours” Espresso Martini.

Thomas Ashbourne, renowned for its premium, canned, and bottled craft beverages, now adds another star to its galaxy of celebrity partnerships. This time, it’s Harris, who joins the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Vanessa Hudgens, Rosario Dawson, and Ashley Benson, in crafting signature libations.

Harris expressed his enthusiasm for the endeavor in a press release. “I love an espresso martini for its smooth and bold taste, and its ability to be both sophisticated and the life of the party all at the same time…who wouldn’t want that?” he asked. “I am excited to be partnering with Thomas Ashbourne; together we worked hard to bring my favorite cocktail to life. After months of research, formulations, and recipe revisions, I’m thrilled to finally share The After Hours Espresso Martini.”

Thomas Ashbourne ‘The After Hours’ Espresso Martini

Cara Kamenev, CEO of Thomas Ashbourne Craft Spirits, says an important part of the brand’s strategy is to introduce innovations driven by consumer demand, “and as one of the fastest-growing cocktails in America, the Espresso Martini is just that,” she said. “It has been a pleasure developing the flavor profile and personality of The After Hours alongside Neil, who is an iconic talent, a passionate and committed partner, and who has a discerning palate for all things, especially cocktails. The result is a best-in-class, ready-to-sip Espresso Martini so good that even Sir Thomas Ashbourne himself would be proud.”

“The After Hours” is a luxurious, caffeine-infused cocktail, crafted with high-quality craft vodka and bold espresso flavors, best enjoyed cold, shaken over ice, delivering a 12 percent ABV.

The cocktail creation process involved the expertise of Nico de Soto, Thomas Ashbourne’s Creative Cocktail Director and Master Mixologist, who collaborated with Harris to perfect the balance of ingredients, coffee blends, and spirit strength. The result is a sophisticated, yet playful cocktail, teeming with the rich aroma of Arabica and extra dark roast espresso beans, with a hint of vanilla and lush dark chocolate.

Since its launch in the summer of 2022, Thomas Ashbourne’s ready-to-drink cocktails have made a significant impact, standing out for their freshness and quality. The brand’s lineup includes five premium craft cocktails, each created with fresh, all-natural ingredients, and sustainably produced within the U.S. The company says it small-batch cocktails incorporate sustainability practices from the time “grain meets soil.”

The brand also supports the nation’s leading community improvement organization, Keep America Beautiful, to reduce litter and beautify communities, helping to make them more resilient to climate change.
