Renowned actor, musician, director, and philanthropist Kevin Bacon fosters connectivity and community outreach in his new celeb-packed podcast series, “Six Degrees with Kevin Bacon”.

The podcast initiative, which aligns with the altruistic goals of Bacon’s SixDegrees.org, aims to spark a wave of positive change, by urging listeners to get involved in charitable actions around them. The podcast, which is a collaboration between Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, Telepictures, iHeartPodcasts, and SixDegrees.org, marks a pivotal step in Bacon’s journey to utilizing the “six degrees” concept for fostering positive societal change.

Bacon, alongside his wife Kyra Sedgwick, has leveraged his influence to support a number of charities including the Red Cross, the American Foundation for Equal Rights, Earth Day Network, and the Global Fund for Women, among others.

With its roots deeply entwined in the belief that everyone is connected through six degrees or less, SixDegrees.org emerged in 2007 under the guidance of Bacon. This non-profit organization concentrates its endeavors on promoting youth empowerment, equality, justice, and sustainability, along with addressing emergent issues critical to communities.

“I’m thrilled to be able to expand the work I do with SixDegrees in this way,” Bacon said in a statement. “This podcast peels back the layers for fans and shows them another side of their favorite stars, while honoring the real heroes — the people on the ground making a difference. It provides my guests with a platform to talk about the real world issues that keep them awake at night. It’s a first for me and I’m looking forward to people getting to know me in a different way.”

The organization has been acclaimed for its initiatives, clinching a Shorty Award, a Telly Award, and a commendable collection of four Webby Awards. Under the stewardship of Executive Director Stacy Huston, it continuously works towards boosting local non-profits in the USA and showcasing global causes that resonate profoundly with their guests.

On the new podcast, listeners can anticipate engaging and lively conversations between Bacon and his celebrity guests, revolving around their lives, passion projects, and favorite charitable organizations. Each episode promises to bring forward the changemakers driving these charitable organizations, sharing stirring narratives about their contributions to positive change within communities. Some of the upcoming guests include renowned names like Mark Ruffalo, Matthew McConaughey, and Idina Menzel, among others, discussing their involvement with various noble causes.

“SixDegrees.Org is committed to boosting the remarkable initiatives of local nonprofits in the USA, offering support to those confronting substantial obstacles. We’re excited to broaden our mission by highlighting worldwide causes that deeply resonate with our guests,” said Stacy Huston, leading the charge at SixDegrees.org.

The podcast, brought to life by executive producers Kevin Bacon, Stacy Huston, and Coltan Gibby, and produced by Christine Ahanotu, is now available on the iHeartRadio app and other podcast platforms. It is distributed by iHeartPodcasts, a subsidiary of iHeartMedia, Inc., the premier audio media company in America with an unparalleled consumer reach and a significant presence in the podcast sector.

As the curtain rises on this promising new chapter, fans can start tuning in from today, with fresh episodes being released every Tuesday.
