John Mackey’s 70 Life Lessons On His 70th Birthday, From Laughter to Travel: ‘Make Your Dreams Happen’

Share

On his 70th birthday, Whole Foods’ co-founder John Mackey shares 70 life lessons.

It’s been nearly a year since John Mackey stepped down as CEO of Whole Foods Market, the organic and natural supermarket chain he founded in 1980. Amazon acquired the chain in 2017 and many thought Mackey would retire after exiting, but the longtime health food advocate had other plans. He recently launched Love.Life — a cafe and telehealth service that picks up where Whole Foods Market left off. The new venture, which recently opened a flagship location in Los Angeles, is working to bridge diet and wellness for optimal health.

So it’s no surprise that Mackey, who celebrates his 70th birthday today, has shared a list of life lessons, ranging from eating carbs to being open-minded and evolving your purpose.
